Contempt notice issued to Fata officials
PESHAWAR: A division bench of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday issued contempt of court notice to Additional Chief Secretary Fata and Political Agent of Khyber Agency for not complying with the court order on establishment of Women University in Akakhel area in Bara tehsil of the agency. A bench issued the notice to the respondent officials in the contempt petition filed by Malik Zarmat Khan from Khyber Agency. The counsel for the petitioner submitted the government had in 2009 announced establishment of Women University in Akakhel area of the agency for which funds had also been approved by the federal government. He said despite approval of the funds, establishment of university was delayed. He said that the high court in 2011 ordered the government to establish university in the agency without further delay.
