IHC adjourns PTI foreign funding case till Jan 15

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday adjourned the hearing of a PTI plea regarding foreign funding case, directing the ECP to complete its task and adjourned further hearing till January 15.

A single-member bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani conducted hearing of the PTI’s petition which challenged the ECP’s May 8 verdict. Giving his arguments, Anwar Mansoor said the PTI was being politically victimised in the foreign funding case by the ECP which had violated the law by ECP by presenting the details of PTI accounts. It was tantamount to a discriminatory attitude to issue the account details of any political party, he claimed. Anwar said same details were submitted before both ECP and Supreme Court but the PTI was being discriminated.
